The right front hub of ‘Dangerous Dave’ went belly up on Friday.

Luckily close to other moggers and Ferdi de Beer from MogDoc came to the rescue.

Hub pics to follow.

Man i am jealous. What do i need to do to score a name like "Dangerous Dave"?

i was once called Joe Hall, but that is not even half as cool as Dangerous Dave.

Andrew, it started when he put the Mog to sleep on its side... with Jeeps watching!!!

After that a number of suitable contributions followed that led to the name be awarded.

I bought an oil condenser for the hub reduction of the Unimog 1300L (435 115) from the ubelix.de website and I must say that it works well. The phenomenon is generalized, when driving on asphalt over 50 km the oil of the hub reduction overheats and evaporates, condenses in the axis, leaving the hub reduction dry and consequently seizes. The condenser, on the other hand, cools the oil that falls back into the hub reduction, preventing the worst. With the condenser, inspections of the oil level in the hub reduction go from 400 km to 3000 or 4000 km.
