Voorheen met GY AT/R in Namib woestyn gery teen 0,8 bar sonder probleme.

    Enige raad hieroor? dankie

Sorry guys. Don’t want to tease anybody…

But isn’t this a Southern Africa forum? Shouldn’t it have an universal language so that it could be understood by all of us…

    Hi Bruno,

That is a valid point. I think we should try and keep the technical/general threads in English as far as possible. The "chitchat" can be used for Afrikaans only threads.

Posters might also get more advice by posting in English since more people can understand and contribute to the discussion. Some of the most knowledgeable people on this forum are ENGLISH ONLY, and I dont want to exclude them from our technical discussions.

Point taken, just know that some of us can't realy speak english so excuse the spelling

    translation -

The side walls of the BFG is fairly hard or stiff so there is a risk from 1,2bar downwards. With the BFG in sand one must be very carefull - IMO

Re: Tyre klim van rim af

I've used BF's extensively on my Defender and my new G is also equipped with them. It is true that they are not as flexible as for eg the Coopers (Coopers are silicone based, hence the more flexibility) but in all my years I have never had a tyre climb of the rim.

I think what can certainly promote this scenario is when the driver makes quick turns at high speeds on sand. I do inflate my wheels, but always do so in steps and based on the prevailing conditions.

During my recent trip along the West Coast (Spoegrivier to Groenrivier) I did not have to deflate my tyres below 2 bar and the area is notorious for thick sand. My G is equipped with BF M/T's 265/75/16's
