My father and a lot others were not brave...
If they where volunteer soldiers maybe you could say that...
They just reached 18, were putted on a boat for 2 months and left 2 years 6.000km away from home...

I used to have a Vespa scooter as well. Spare wheel at the back. Hand gear change, I think it was a 250cc.
Now I have a BMW F650GS Dakar

My vespa is a 150 cc, for now it is still in Portugal, when I moved to moz had to decide between the ktm and the vespa... the ktm won...
The vespa will come sooner or later...

The photo of Johan's 411 on Werners' farm.
It is a 411.112 (long base 2010 mm) and is an unrestored origional.
It is a really nice little guy and a good example for those that are restoring... everything is there - but it is not the agri model.
I think it sleeps in his house in the lounge...

If I am not mistaken it is actually the ex Military version that operated in Mozambique. Johan is in the Vrystaat at the moment. When he comes back I will chat to him. Yes the Moggie nearly sleeps in his lounge, so does all his cars.
