How does one order from www.industrytools.de by bypasssing Ebay. If you click on an item it takes you straight to Ebay. Could not get the website to show axle components - its just blank - have you had any sucess?

Guys
I am now in the market for the outer stub axle for my 280 - (refer to thread about the bent trailing arm bracket). Any local suppliers or must i contact Guido? the first one that failed (stripped the thread off the stub) was a LOBRO and second one (failed the same way) is a GKN. the last one probably did 60k km
any help will be appreciated
You are surely talking about a cv if you use those names? (Lobro and GKN)
I would call the stub axle the bit that has the wheel pcd on it and the cv joint spline in it.
Are we connected?
Andrew
I thought the bit with the flange and the hollow shaft was called the hub - but no i am talking about the CV - the outer bit - you see the thread on the shaft next to the splines have been stripped. The rest of it (the balls etc) is probably Ok but i have not stripped yet..
Regards
OK you are looking for a CV joint.
1. MB will quote you with the drive shaft.
2. Ask Arnold Ross about aftermarket - posted somewhere here.
3. Search for the GKN/Lobro distributor in JHB
4. Send a second hand one to a rebuilder.
5. Import
Try driveshaft centre - they are Lobro agents and should be able to get you one
