    Copper discs

    Good day to all.

Whilst the G is still not sold I decided to fix a couple of small things that have been bothering me over the past couple of months....

This weekend I spent removing the rusted box that passed for a towbar up to now, and found these copper discs behind the rear passanger bumper.

Does anyone know what they are?

(Sorry , the cellphone pics aren't too clear)

The 3 discs all have unique numbers punched in them with a seal of some sorts which I cannot make out...

The towbar / drop plate is completely rusted, and I would not tow a 5ft ventyer on this:

Does anybody know where I can have a drop plate manufactured in the pretoria Area?
I need an engineering shop who will be able to cut and bend the plate ...

    For you For Niet...

It will work out cheaper if you buy a piece of aluminium angle iron and cut, grind & bend it yourself....

The angle iron costs about R45 per 2m length.

Courier costs to you in Stellenbosch would probably be in the region of R80...

Extra towbar that came with my G. Not sure if it will work though.
