W463 cv

Has anyone got a W463 CV spare?

They are more expensive than the W460/1 ones and obviously a lot more scarce.

When I reverse, full swing to the left, I hear a knocking sound. But when moving forward, there is no knock. I spoke to the previous owner and he said that noise has been there for ages. So I dont think its something of concern currently, but I like to have my G 100% especially as I dont have to fork our R12 300 for a new CV.

How long should a properly maintained CV last?

Naeem, that price is probably for the CV plus drive shaft.
The CV alone from Germany is about 250 Euro.
Properly maintained I'm sure they can outlast the vehicle but if they work hard, who knows.

You are correct. Thats the price for the left side CV with the shaft.

Is the 250Euro the landed price? Dirk did mention something around R3k if one had to import it. Thats not too bad

That's the price there, you still need to add shipping and taxes so 3k is more accurate. If you bring in more parts the shipping can be spread.
