Suppose you could request a duplicate of th registration documents with that and take it from there?
I have to official recourse to request it as I am not the registered owner??
mmm, that is the problem then... if you are the owner ( I am not sure that this is a definite requisite) then you can request a new certificate of registration. - the car needs to go for police clearance though. I did this with my 123
...maybe it is worth your while to visit the licensing dept. and ask what your options are?
I have a sale agreement and old disc. I know guys somehow manage to register old cars as built up from scratch I think.

oh I see, did you fill out and hand in the yellow "change of ownership" form at the licensing dept? -If I am not mistaken you will have to pay all outstanding license fees to register it on your name...... not sure?
I would just go there show them the deed of sale and tell them the seller did not have the papers anymore (lost). I'm sure they will help. If not ask the previous owner if he minds getting duplicates.
Not a big problem if you have sales agreement from registered owner no matter timeframe. Problem is going to be arrears. Traffic dept can be quite helpful if you offer to settle that. I'll have a scratch and try find the guys number that helped me. What I had to do was get appointed to do paperwork on registered owners name to request papers on his behalf or ask that person to request it. You will need that persons adress also...
