    Re: King pin bearing numbers

Harold's site gives them for the 460 and 463.

    http://www.4x4abc.com/G-Class/bearings460list.html

    (LM11949/LM11910a)

You need them for 461? I guess they are the same.

I bought from MB for ZAR40.61 each ex. VAT.

    Andrew, why one of each?
I like doing things together ie if one fails or one side fails I will do both to have everything zero houred again.

Read nice between the lines Mr Prez..

Darcy said 460 or 461 and I said one of each, even though I only drive one at a time.

So tomorrow we do full front axle service on one 460 and one 461.

He he - and how much do we torque the moer then gents!?

    Andrew

Which moer are you talking about torqueing?

The first or the second one?

    Regards,

    Arnold

    Both.

This is one of those questions like asking what is the best tyre for a G.

    I am still confused!?

You are changeing the kingpin bearings on the 240GD and the 290GD? i.e. 8x kingpins? Also does that mean you are doing the one G with 4x LM11949 and the other with 4x LM11910a? There are a lot of permutations here?!

Also are you asking what value to torque the the bearings or is Alan a moer?

Just for iinfo the bearings I got as OEM parts from MB are FAG LM11910 (without a).
