I'm planning to drive to Malawi in December. Any joiners or advise?

Hehehe,

I would go in a flash no matter what time of year. Heat does not put me off but cold does. Would love to join and better keep this thread away from the wife. Work prssures will not allow much for this year and early next year.

My original plans for December was Malawi, but due to unfortunate "need new engine trouble", I am rather going to stay in South Africa and do Lesotho and Wild Coast, but next year definitely!

If you could only see my face now! Pure jealousy!

Henry, have you got any dates in mind/prelim planning?

Went to Malawi Jul'10 via Zimbabwe and the north of Mozambique. Good tar road except for the potholes on the SA side.

Stayed in the south at Chembe lodge near Monkey Bay.

The lake, the people, the snorkelling and Malawi gin were wonderful!

Was thinking of leaving on the 17th (Dec) and be back sometime around new years. I'll drive through the Kruger into Zim, then Tete province in Moz into Malawi. Got no set plans for where to go ect. Got no dependents so I can take it easy and as it comes day by day and backpacker to backpacker.
