    G300CDI Project

Here the first stage of my project to equip my new G for the "Great-Trek"!
the unit is all self contained and fixed to the rails by means of nylon runners and bolts (not yet fitted) the unit will have a 97lt water tank. The entire unit can be taken out to make use of the entire loading space at any time.

Very nice Michel, I like the idea that you can remove at any time. Makes it a lot more versatile. I have that problem with my 290. Either kittet for overlanding or ready to use as normal. To change takes quite some effort and time.

Wher does the fridge fit? Is the rear bench coming out?

The fridge is planned between the two back seats, the two back seats are staying in folded position, the auxiliary fuel tank (80lt) will be placed on the floor behind the folded seats (removable with electric pump from and to the main tank).

Sure thing Marius, his name is Tony and you can contact him on zero 83 four five 641 three nine. He still has to sort out some little "gremlins" on my design, but all in all he is quite ready to produce some more.

Don't know yet, as we are in the "project-phase". This is the first unit and we have to chop and change to adapt the "idea" to the "practice".

Soon we'll let you have the "damages"!

It would be nice to some how incorporate the space over the wheel wells in the design and make the whole thing sit lower? The problem is with getting the draws out.

I wonder if you could use some kind of shift left or shift right and then pull out to clear the rear?

Or have top entry boxes over the wheel wells for stuff you will never need (tools, spares etc. ).

Munga, just keep watching this thread, I have lots up my sleeve! Don't worry I have already taken in consideration the wheel wells!
    One step at the time!

My project is almost completed, 95%! The only items left is the spare fuel tank (75lt) under, between the chassis frame and the clothes-roof-compartment.
    Here some picks.
